what we’re all about
Part ops, part organizational development, part “why are you doing all of that by yourself?!”.
Pattern-spotting. Truth-telling. Hearing what’s unspoken.
We’re not meant to stay stuck in survival mode, and lasting progress won’t come from more hustle.
It comes from carving a clearer path forward and having the right support around you to pursue it.
Let’s name the hard stuff, identify the opportunities, and make shift happen.

TIFFANI R. Brown
founder & principal consultant
People who know me say I have a calm, grounding presence. People who know me well say I’m a quiet storm. I’ve always been curious about how people, places, and things work—and how they came to be. So I’ve learned to ask sharp questions with tact, and I spot connections others miss.
My past life as an educator showed me just how much opportunity can be lost when organizations are under-resourced and overwhelmed. During my time as an elementary teacher, I stumbled into nonprofit operations after volunteering with an organization and discovering that the weirdly broad mix of work I had been doing there actually had a name. Operations became a vehicle for drawing out the unrealized potential I saw tucked inside the organizations I served. My coaching takes a similar approach—helping leaders tune into what’s often already been whispering, waiting, and ready to emerge.

Before launching Monroe Impact Advisors, I spent more than two decades leading in-house operations across a wide range of organizations as a Director, VP, Executive Director, and COO. I’ve worked with founder-led startups, global nonprofits, and everything in between.
From managing multi-year, multimillion-dollar grants to navigating a merger, multiple re-orgs, and large scale hiring, I’ve seen the beauty and lived the burnout of social impact work up close and from many angles. Along the way, I’ve learned what it takes to build organizations that work for the people inside them and the communities they serve.
I’ve recovered from burnout, but am still learning that done is better than perfect. Most of all, I believe mission-driven work should not come at the expense of our health or sanity—and I’m grateful to every client who has trusted me to walk alongside them as they bring that belief to life.

I’m usually reading 2-3 at a time. What can I say? I like options.
Audiobooks absolutely count.
I may or may not be in multiple book clubs.

My Covid plant queendom grew to almost 100. Now we’re down to a much more manageable 40ish.
